A manual intended for publication, an internal report and a message from a business partner do not require the same amount of work. If every translation goes through a full expert process, the company pays for a level of control that some documents simply do not need. If content is sent directly to a random tool, control over terminology, completeness, files and responsibility for the result disappears.
At translax, we have divided the process into three service levels. They differ in the scope of control, the intended use of the result and the responsibility included in the service. The same material can be prepared as a fast working version, an internal document with enhanced control or a final result reviewed by an expert.

How the process works
Step 1.
Material – you send the files and tell us how the result will be used.
Step 2.
Preparation – we assess the file, perform OCR or segmentation and connect useful translation memories and terminology.
Step 3.
Translation – translax pre-translates the content using a model selected for the language, content type and chosen option.
Step 4.
Verification – we apply the control appropriate to the option: automated AI verification or a full expert review.
Step 5.
Delivery – we deliver the material in the agreed format, preserving the layout of properly editable files.
We run the process in the Translaxor environment, combining CAT tools, available translation memories and terminology, file checks and the selected level of verification.

Important details
Your data is not used to train models
- data is encrypted in transit and access is restricted to the people delivering the service;
- client content is not used to train models;
- the provider’s standard retention period is up to 30 days, subject to exceptions required by law, system security and the applicable terms of service;
- the client’s translation memories and terminology are not shared with other clients.
Numbers remain numbers, and editable files retain their layout
If a file is properly editable, preserving its layout and formatting is included in the translation price. Scans, non-editable PDFs, technical drawings and diagrams may require a separate service: file preparation for translation.
Alternatively, we can deliver the translation in a bilingual table, with the source text alongside the translation, at no extra charge for recreating the layout.
Responsibility matched to the selected option
In Option 3, we assume responsibility for linguistic quality and consistency with the source within the agreed scope – contractually and to the extent covered by our professional indemnity insurance, with cover of PLN 1,000,000.
