Requirements for candidates

At translax, we prioritise quality and professionalism. Therefore, we are looking for translators who meet the following criteria:

  1. Higher education in philology, linguistics, or equivalent.
  2. At least 8 years of translation experience full-time.
  3. Specialisation in at least one technical field (e.g. automotive, engineering, IT, medicine).
  4. Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
  5. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  6. Proficient in at least one CAT tool (Trados Studio, memoQ, Matecat preferred).
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, at least Word.
  8. Running a business, enabling invoice issuance.

Recruitment process

To join the team of translators collaborating with translax, you need to go through the following recruitment stages:

  1. Submitting CV, references, and offer (expected rates) – exclusively via this form.
  2. Initial verification – analysis of the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
  3. Selected candidates will receive a translation test – completion of a sample translation in the chosen specialisation.
  4. Interview – discussion of test results and details of potential collaboration.
  5. Initial training – familiarisation with procedures and tools used at translax.
  6. Starting collaboration – signing the agreement and assigning first projects.

Types of collaboration

At translax, we offer various forms of collaboration, tailored to individual preferences and capabilities of translators:

  • B2B collaboration – for translators running their own business.
  • Ad hoc assignments – for specialists in narrow technical fields.

Note

  1. Applications sent by email will not be accepted.
  2. The form mentioned in the first point of the recruitment process also applies to graphic designers/DTP specialists.
  3. Requirements are non-negotiable.

Internships, apprenticeships

translax does not: order translations performed as part of volunteer work and does not organise internships or apprenticeship programmes.
